We made it to Amsterdam, safe and sound...!

It is now 7:05 am on Saturday morning as I type this post from the Amsterdam Schiphol airport. We had a smooth flight on a nice, newer plane, and even arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule. The concensus in the group is that no one got very much rest on the plane, both students and leaders, because of the tight, cramped seats and too many entertainment choices on our own personal touchscreen monitors at our seats.  :)  I consider myself somewhat of a master at being able to sleep on planes, but even I couldn't get to sleep - oh well!

Despite being a bit sleepy, everyone is healthy, all smiles, and in good spirits.  We are all very excited for this adventure to get under way in a few hours in Berlin!  Our short flight to Berlin leaves in about 30 minutes, then we'll be headed to our hostel and off to start learning about German history around Berlin.  I will update again from Berlin when I'm able.

Story from the Amsterdam airport: I was waiting in the customs line next to some girls from UMN with maroon and gold athletic gear on and carrying Gopher duffel bags.  I started talking to them - they said they are the UMN woman's soccer team, traveling to Barcelona to play in an international tournament. I told them where we are from and what we are doing, and one of the girls said enthusiastically, "Oh, I went to DeLaSalle, I know Minnehaha well - what a great school!" I would have to agree.  :)

Blessings to all at home and to all the CFE groups traveling this next week near and far - what a special privilege to be able to have such an amazing learning experience for the MA students and faculty leaders.
